A good ol’ fashioned glitch

December 6, 2011 § 4 Comments

You know me and computers.

We are not really friends.  Today is another one of those days when I was going swimmingly about my morning computer time, overflowing with ideas for the day and projects to start, and then my computer shut down and the power cord stopped working, causing me to ask myself in my panic, “Why am I so dependent on this thing?

If this goes out, it is as if someone took an eraser to the whiteboard of my day and wiped it clean? Really?”

Yes, yes it is.

So needless to say, I am currently using my husbands oooooold computer and still in my bathrobe.  It’s making clicking noises and kind of panting (the computer, not the bathrobe), protesting most likely because it had been sitting in the corner in retirement.  And who wants to be pulled out of retirement?  Not this ol’ guy.

However, if you can get the image of me in terrycloth out of your head and possibly consider me someone you can take seriously in the slightest, I would like to invite you over to The Tiny Twig, where I am so excited to be writing about Inspirational Women from here on out, starting with Corrie ten Boom.  And if you don’t know who that is, CLICK THAT LINK RIGHT NOW.  And read The Hiding Place.  Your life will be forever changed.

While you do that, I will probably be ordering a new power cord, biting my nails, and hopefully getting dressed.   And waiting for this computer to self-destruct.  Happy Tuesday!
